Birthday Celebrations, Allergies, and Healthy Foods
Whittier is committed to maintaining a healthy, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students. Student lunches and snacks should comply with the Healthy Food Act and support healthy eating habits.
Due to the increasing number of students with severe allergies, birthday parties held on school grounds are temporarily suspended. Even small amounts of certain allergens can have serious consequences for students with food sensitivities. We encourage families to celebrate birthdays outside of school hours, such as at home or at a local venue.
Whittier is a nut-free school. Thank you for helping us protect the health and safety of every student.
