Attendance Policy

Daily attendance remains compulsory for students ages 5-17 in Washington, DC. However, we do understand that sometimes, students must be absent for health or family reasons. Please review the excused absence policy and complete the form below to excuse your student’s absence from school.

Excused absences

Any absence for an entire day without a valid excuse is marked as an unexcused absence. Excusable reasons for absences include illness and medical/dental appointments.
