Whittier Elementary School is proud to celebrate 100 years of serving the Ward 4 community and generations of DC families. Since opening its doors in 1926, Whittier has been a cornerstone of learning, leadership, and community in Northwest Washington, DC. The 100 Year Anniversary Gala is an opportunity to honor the school’s rich history while celebrating the students, families, educators, and leaders who have shaped Whittier over the past century.
The evening will bring together alumni, current and former staff, families, and community members for a special celebration connecting the past to the future. We are also inviting Whittier principals from the past 20+ years to attend so we can recognize the leadership that has helped guide the school through decades of growth and change.
Guests will enjoy live music, dancing, food, drinks, and reflections on the legacy of Whittier as we look ahead to the next 100 years.
Attire: Semi-Formal
Parking: Limited parking will be available in the school lot across the street, and street parking is available throughout the surrounding neighborhood.
